The Bad Girl

In the past I sold TV adapter cables for all the old retro consoles like Atari, SNES, Mega Drive and Sega Master. We were the only seller on eBay germany with that special cable and therefore sold many of them. The cable was quite cheap, but nevertheless sometimes bidders never paid for it. Business as usual. Long Johns

What was the most ugly packing material used in parcels you received?   I have two favourites and the first one is: Yellow long johns. No joke, I don’t have a clue why someone used his warmers instead of paper. I just hoped they were clean and washed before, but I didn’t checked for obvious reasons …

Hazardous

Sometimes we receive goods which are just hazardous. In the following picture you can see a european power supply for a Super Nintendo and the isolation of the 220 Volt power cable is missing. The blank cables are shining through and of course it would be (at least) very painful to touch that cable. It is always hard to believe, that there sellers outside who don’t care about such things and I don’t dare to imagine what would happen, if a small kid touches this cable.

PayPal’s buyer protection

PayPal is on eBay Germany not very common although the numbers of auctions providing PayPal as a payment method are increasing it is still not comparable with the US or UK. Luckily I paid this auction with Paypal and of course I filed a dispute. Altough we paid only a few $ for this trash, I thought it was time to teach that seller a lesson … (more…)
