In the past I sold TV adapter cables for all the old retro consoles like Atari, SNES, Mega Drive and Sega Master. We were the only seller on eBay germany with that special cable and therefore sold many of them. The cable was quite cheap, but nevertheless sometimes bidders never paid for it. Business as usual. The story of the following transaction differed a bit …

A bidder bought the cable via the ‘Buy it now’ option and never finished the checkout process. Quite common, so I always sent an eMail with all necessary data. 10 days went by, without any payment or contact and so I sent the first friendly reminder via eMail and ebay message. Another 5 days went by without any contact. As the feedback of that bidder already looked terrible, I started the dispute. As expected the buyer didn’t react and so the dispute was closed after the 10 days period and the FVF was granted.
Three and a half month later (!!), I received the following eMail:

Hello, I am the bad girl who didn’t paid for the cable. It seems there went something wrong and I’m sorry. Is there any chance that I can still get the cable?

Three and a half month later …
